What A Wonderful Weekend

Friday: Was the best day ever. Me, Amy, Sarah, Venetia and Nicole met at Andreas house and then went to an all you can eat Thai buffet place. SO YUM. We were so loud though :P One time, we just stopped talking, and the whole restaurant went quiet. And people were listening to our conversation :P Came back to my place, ate even MORE food, went up to the park, took photos, bummed around. They left, except Andrea, and we had dinner at a Korean restaurant at the Glen with Jon, Blick, Marcus, Vicky and Michael. I was already feeling SO BLOATED, but then we (all seven of us) piled into Marcus' two door tiny car and drove to Max Brenners. Ate even more. Then went to Safeway to buy vanilla icecream and milo, which we ate in a circle on the floor at the front of Safeway :) It was such a good day.

Saturday: Linley came over! We made cookies and watched Harry Potter and remenisced on our primaryschool-embarrassing-obsessive-littlegirl crushes on Daniel Radcliffe. AHAHA. The cookies turned out so funny. They spread so MUCH.

Sunday: I thought it'd be a bit of a downer of a day, but it turned out good :) Went to church, left early cos I thought I was going to get my tooth pulled out but on Sunday you have to pay extra so Mum wanted me to wait for tommorrow. So I'm getting my tooth pulled out at EIGHT AM tomorrow. That's the time I normally wake up :( But anyway. Went to Knox. Tried on more formal dresses for fun :D

Tomorrow's gonna suck.

I Can Almost Taste The Weekend

I can't wait for tomorrow to be over :) Then three days of no school, no sacs to study for, no tests to study for, no essays to be handed in, no assignments to do, and hopefully no homework. Instead I'll be shoe shopping, jewellery shopping, reading, baking, meeting up with Linley and having FUN. Gosh. It'll be like a mini holiday.

Is this possible?

How Do I Hate Thee? Let Me Count The Ways

My dear friend English;

How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways.
I hate thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach.
- More than spiders, snakes and the ever disgusting leech.
I hate the way you make me sit there
- Knowing nothing, playing with my hair.
I hate how you have no finite answer
- No right, no wrong, is it because I'm a dancer?
I hate how you take up all of my time
- Writing rubbish when I think that I'm doing fine.
I hate thee and thy metalanguage
- They make me want to ingest a fridge.
I hate how you're the only subject that ever gives me A's
- That's asian fail you know, and haunts me for days.
I hate thee for making me speak in public
- And no, Australia should not become a republic.
I hate how you made me concentrate for three hours
- Yes actually I would rather be skipping around flowers.
I hate thee for all of thy six sacs
- Only half done, oh cut me some slack(s).
I hate thee and thy language analysis
- Three articles?! Plain mental is your diagnosis.
I hate thee for making me pen you a poem
- Don't you know I could be studying the fascinating phloem?
I hate thee and thine Look Both Ways
- Quotes in my head and nightmares for days!
I hate thee for my poor sac mark, oh how thy dares
- Let Meryl eat Nick for all I care
I hate thee for my too small vocabulary
- Oh how I wish I was a fairy, or is it faery?
I hate thee for thy strange spelling, see,
- Why is it 'i' before 'e' but not after 'c'?
I hate thee for demanding to be in my top four
- This should be illegal! Change the damn law!
I hate how you mark me down for structure
- Intro, conclusion? My hand has a fracture.
I hate thee and thy lengthy, hand-hurting, notes
- They will be burnt or drowned or eaten by goats!
I hate thee for making my brain have a dent
- Although I guess I should thank you, I needed to vent
I hate thee and thy mind consuming ways
- My hatred will not end, not at death, on my last day
Just mark my words, I will have my revenge
- MY SANITY WILL BE ONE DAY AVENGED!!!

I Hate Mondays

No actually I don't hate mondays. I hate mondays with english sacs. Have I said lately how much I hate english? Well. I'll say it again. I hate english.

That is all all I have to say.

Actually no it's not. I feel like writing some more.

Friendships are fickle things aren't they? They come, they go, they get stronger, they get weaker, sometimes without you even noticing at all. It just seems strange how quickly things can change. How do you know when to let go of things or keep trying? I dunno. Seems like a lot of groups are having friendship difficulties.

Ange came first at states today. So she'll be competing at nationals next month in Vodaphone Arena. I used to think it'd suck to have a famous or successful sister...but I can't wait. YOU BETTER GO TO THE OLYMPICS OR I'LL
...never help you with math again?

I thought I'd end with a short statement. I hate english.

P.S
HAHA I just realised. Those are Preeta's initials. Quite appropriate since I stole this picture from her.

Ah. The PLC class of '08. I love these people. They give me warm and fuzzy feelings.

Shoved to the Ground

Cookie loves to sleep on my desk chair, so today when I went to get something to eat, she jumped up and settled herself on the chair. I brought another one in so I could sit down and do my work. Then I went to get something to drink. When I came back, Tiger had jumped on the other chair. So now I'm sitting on the ground while the cats sleep on the chairs. Ahh sacrificial love.

Ignore: Another Whingefest

Today was really really really bad. Normally the extent of my 'bad day' is too much homework...but today really was bad. Today was sports day which I already knew was going to be boring, but I woke up with a swollen gum around a certain particular extremely annoying tooth that has costed my parents over a thousand dollars and many trips to the dentist. Let me explain. I went to the dentist over a year ago and she pointed out that I needed to get a filling there. But I had an orthodontist appointment to see if I needed braces in a month so she said she wouldn't do anything to the tooth cos I might need it pulled out if I got braces. But the ortho said I didn't really need braces so nothing happened to that tooth. A couple of months later I went back to the dentist and they had to do this massive filling on it since so much time had passed. THEN the next time I went to the dentist they found an infection where that tooth was, so I needed a root canal, costing $1000 and three trips to the dentist. SO. When I saw my gum swollen I knew that it had to be that tooth that simply had some sort of vendetta against me. ANYWAY. Went to the dentist today. And that stupid friggin tooth is infected AGAIN and now needs to be pulled out. WTH. As if one infection and a root canal wasn't enough. So now. I'm going to end up with a hole. MEANING I NEED BRACES. BRACES. EEW. IN YEAR 12!!! I really feel like crying. It's so unfair...I brush my teeth twice a day and this is what I get. My brother goes for weeks on end without touching a toothbrush and has THE most perfect, straight, white teeth. I don't even think he's had a filling before.

AND THEN. Coming back from the dentist, Preeta's english tutor rang up to see she was full and couldn't tutor me. *sigh* so I'll fail the sac. Beyond caring now. Braces. Eew. At least the ortho does magic tricks?

Hope your day was better than mine.

Help Please ;)

Dilemma #1: To quit ballet or not to quit.

For ballet:
- it's pretty much my only extra-curricular activity
- it keeps me some what fit and flexible

Against ballet:
- it's year 12, ballet reduces my nerding time
- cbb going

Dilemma #2: WHICH DRESS SHOULD I WEAR TO THE FORMAL?

Dress #1

- most expensive...an extra $70
- the colour's a gorgeous apple green, but you can't really see in this dodge photo
- bought it two days ago

Dress #2
- too casual?
- also expensive...$200
- I have an unhealthy obsession with this dress
- the materials a strange non-shiny, non-typical-formal-dress, heavy material
- also bought two days ago (being an incredibly indecisive person I bought them both and will take one back when I eventually figure out which one to wear)

OR Dress #3

- I got this ages ago, it was pretty much an impulse buy because it's a size too big but was so cheap ($40)
- It has weird removable straps which I don't like...
- I was thinking about wearing this to valedictory or graduation?

The Group likes the first dress, Mum likes the first dress, Angela likes the second dress, I don't think anybody's seen the third...As for me? I have no clue :)

I Hate English

I really do. It's going to drag my enter down so much grr... argheajkfajdlkadf. I hate english. WHY IS IT COMPULSARY?! So. Unfair. As if they don't make math compulsary. English sac on Monday. Going. To. Fail.
And as if sports day is compulsary.

Ok enough whinging. I got 95% on both methods and special sacs :)

I should go do some english prac sacs. I know I need to. But I don't want to. So I won't. Then I'll do badly on the sac. Then I'll whinge some more. It's a vicious cycle.

And The Camera Cord is FOUND

So I lied. I couldn't blog on the w/e cos I had to finish my english oral. BUT. I can blog now. AND I can upload pictures!

So. The birthday was extremely good. Had school. Found my locker decorated with (bad) photos of myself and balloons everywhere thanks to my lovely friends :D We got our year 12 jumpers FINALLY and after school was the year 12 bonding afternoon. We did this Amazing Race type thing with clues hidden all over the school. It was so tiring I consider my exercise for this year done. Saach and I then had a cake and were serenaded by Nic Yow :P Then went out for dinner with the fam, where I ate too much but also got my IPOD TOUCH :D It's so coooooool! Went home, had birthday cake and went to sleep deliriously happy.

Saturday: had tuition exam. Failed. Dad went to hospital (he's fine).

Sunday: had church. Visited Dad. Bought an ipod cover. Visited Dad again. Went home. Finished oral.

So that was my weekend in 100 words or so :)

PICTURES! (from my bday and Linley's)

Ahh camera battery died :P I'll upload more later.

Farewell 16!

In a few hours or so I will have officially completed by 16th year. Gosh. How old am I? 16 I reckon is the perfect age...17 just sounds so old. And it's too close to 18, which is when you're officially not a child anymore :( that's sad. I don't want to grow up. But tomorrow will be good :D I get my ipod touch! woohoo :D And it's the perfect day. No english tomorrow. Which is the best birthday present PLC could give me. And a double spare :) And then yr 12 bonding afternoon and dinner. Yay. And it's the end of the week. Double yay.

Only downside: Dr He term 1 exam on Saturday. GEEZ give me a break. I really hope I don't spend all of tomorrow worrying that I'm going to get there and simply stare at the paper for 1 and a half hours. Which I probably will. BUT I DON'T CARE. No homework tomorrow. Full stop. My birthday present to myself :)

The Second Last Day of The Holidays

Gosh the holidays have gone fast. You always think that 2 weeks is gonna be ages and you'll get heaps done...but then they just go by in a flash...kind of like my life. As if I'm turning 17 in 5 days! Ah this isn't conceptual synthesis btw...
So. Today I went to church at 7:30 in the morning...earliest I've woken up in...hmm...since the last time I played piano at church? I dunno...I don't even wake up that early to go to school. Anyway...communion was hilarious today. I was playing this phrase over and over again...winding down... and just as I was about to end the song Pastor Clem goes "As Julia keeps playing lalala...". "SHOOT" Back to the start I go...ahh so cringeworthy. But hey, afterwards I got a natural complimentarity so it couldn't have sounded as bad as I thought it did?
Oh well. Went home, did some hw, then went to Linley's house for her party/dinner thing :) Twas fun. But I still don't have the camera cord so no pics...sorryyyy

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

It Starts In My Toes, Makes Me Crinkle My Nose

I haven't been blogging much. Funny thing is, I'm not actually that busy. I have no idea what I've been doing these holidays, yet they're already ending. I haven't been doing my english oral that's for sure...

Cookie and Tiger got desexed yesterday. It was quite scary actually cos as we got to the RSPCA to give the cats to the vet, another lady with a cat was talking to the receptionist about how her cat got desexed the day before and wouldn't stop throwing up. But thankfully Cookie and Tiger are fine. They must have got a good vet :) They had to shave part of Cookies fur off. She looks so funny :P I'd put a pic up but (like Preeta) I can't find my camera cord connecting thing. Otherwise I'd also put a pic up of my books in colour order which I did again yesterday :D

I went formal dress shopping at Bridge Rd today. I don't think I was in the right mood though cos I'd walk into a shop, scan the room and walk out again. In total I only tried on two dresses and those were at Chaddy which we went to after we gave up on Bridge Rd. I seriously cannot be bothered shopping for a dress...why can't the perfect dress just appear in my wardrobe? I'm too lazy. And GOSH. I procrastinate WAY too much. I've been meaning to do the english oral since the beginning of the holidays...and now it's the end. MOTIVATION where are YOU?

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!

I went to yumcha today with mum and my brother and sister, which was all well and good until mum got this plate of something that looked completely disgusting. Turned out to be 20 or so duck tongues. EEW. Completely spoilt my appetite. Out of curiosity I asked mum whether Chinese people eat cats or dogs. "Oh, nobody eats cats, but dog is a traditional Chinese dish that is meant to help you not feel the cold." :O oh my gosh. The poor puppies in China. Served up on a plate. SLIGHTLY DISTURBING AND BARBARIC?? So people. Never eat anything in China without asking what it is first...you never know....*shudders* (And to clarify, my mum insisted neither she nor her family ever ate dog...but still) Oh hey. When I got home, my mum cooked this salmon soup thing, and she was eating part of the salmon, which looked strangely like its head...then she lifts up this clear jellylike part with her chopsticks, goes "Look Julia, fish brain", and then pops it in her mouth, chews it, and swallows it... "Yum".

I think I'm going to bring a two weeks supply of instant noodles when I go to China.

(I apologise if you were reading this before breakfast, lunch or dinner.)
